03Assessment
Find out where your team’s hours go.
Two weeks. Every repeat question listed, every one of them costed, and the first one to build handed back with a plan for the rest.
Ask an insights team what eats their week and they can tell you. The tracker read for the marketing lead. The pull the sales team wants before every quarterly review. The deck that gets rebuilt for the same meeting. What they usually cannot tell you is the number: how many hours, who is asking, which decision it feeds, and which of these would run itself if someone built it once.
The assessment gets you the number and the plan. There is no new fieldwork. We work from what your team already does.
01
List the repeat questions
Every question your team answers more than once a quarter. Who asks it, what it feeds, and how it gets answered today.
02
Count the hours
What each one costs in people and days, using your team's own numbers from last quarter.
03
Pick the first build
One question to turn into a system first, specified down to the data and the owner. Then the order for the rest.
The two weeks
Week one. Two sessions with the people who answer the questions, one with the people who ask them. In between, we list the repeat work and time it against what your team actually spent last quarter.
Week two. The list gets ranked. One question is chosen to build first: the one with a clear decision behind it, the most hours attached, and data you already have. You get that build specified, and the order for the rest.
What you get on day ten
- The list: every repeat question, who asks it, who answers it, and the decision it feeds.
- The cost: hours per question, from your numbers.
- The first build, specified: the data, the owner, and what done looks like.
- The order for everything after it.
Who this is for
Insights teams inside brands, retailers and agencies, of any size. If there is one question your team is tired of answering, that is enough to start.
