AI-moderated interview
A qualitative interview run by a conversational AI that asks follow-up questions in real time.
AI-moderated interviews use a language model to run a semi-structured interview over text, voice or video, probing on answers the way a human moderator would. A team can run hundreds of depth interviews in a day instead of twelve in a week.
They work well for breadth and speed. They are weaker at reading the room, following a surprising tangent and building the rapport that gets someone to an uncomfortable truth. Insights engineers use them with those limits in view.
