Forward-deployed
Working inside the business team that owns the decision, instead of in a central research function down the hall.
The term comes from the forward-deployed engineer, a role Palantir popularised, where engineers sit with the customer and build against real problems. A forward-deployed insights engineer sits with product, marketing, CX or the C-suite, and not in a research department down the hall.
The point is compounding. Value builds inside the account instead of starting over with every request.
